The End of our Civilisation is not far away
However there is a Mammoth Elephant obscuring our world view of reality
Its name is the everpresent Global Warming - we felt its presence last summer
But is GW is acting as a smokescreen to hide the real threat to our sweet life.
Although Global Warming affects the entire world especially Africa, The End of the Age of Oil presents a far greater threat to Human Civilisation.
From this moment on - fuel for the world's vehicles - is more expensive by the minute.
Strangely the worlds news media concentrates on The Effects of Global Warming but nearly all seem to totally ignore the fact that there will be less and less fuel for the common man as the price- at- the- pump will make the car uneconomic to run. Then it will be the Vans that vanish followed by the trucks
We are totally dependent on Oil for transport and on all the essentials made from Oil.
The cost of Fuel for Transporting us and our food around the world is not going to become any less. The free ride is over.There will be no such thing as a free lunch
It will only be a matter of time before the only well fed humans will be the
- the Inuit,
- the Sen bushmen or
- the SAS
OK So only the SAS eat worms and the First Nations of the world can exist on all manner of "bush tucker" but I have serious doubts whether the rest of the world knows anything at all about wild foods. Some say we are doomed to die off.
