FArmy?

I heard that British Farmers are nearly all pensioners.
Soon they will be dead and therefore who is going to farm Britain?
So who would do well in this outdoor life?
Driving Tractors and huge Agricultural machinery?
When this lousy war is over and the boys return from the desert they will be looking for work.
Now that the mines are shut and all remaining industry has been sold down the river to the lands of Eastern Promise - the only work that will keep us alive is down on the farm.
What a difference strong, fit, young men would make, replacing their grandfathers, at the plough..
Swords into ploughshares is an ancient idea which for today, tomorrow and for the forseeable future  is now absolutely vital to our survival.
There is much to do - for these army lads are more used to destruction than creation
The services must train a new land army and fast!
The countryside must be repopulated - only 6% of men of working age are farming..Decent Houses must be built for batallions of exsoldiers landand their Families.
On the larger farm estates it might be more of a group effort, say - a platoon of mates who have served together and now farm together.
Perhaps there could be Army Farms totally run under army lines....

If nothing happens, our croplands, cultivated for several thousand generations will revert to Nature and we will merely starve.
