A steady rise in petrol costs has pushed UK unleaded up to an average 113.40p a litre at UK forecourts yesterday of which 73.08p was tax destined for Treasury coffers.
I am truly amazed at the resilience of the car driver's wallets.
When the cost reached £1/litre there was an immediate absence of cars on all the roads.
Now, however, everyone is back even though it is costing £45 to fill the car. When I began working it took me a month to generate that amount.
How times have changed - but what next?
